Try Princess or Royal Caribbean. I like Holland

America too. I avoid Carnival like the plague, and Norwegian is sketchy, I don't know if I'd sail it again.
Cruises are a great way to travel if you want to visit several places for a short period of time, but only unpack your suitcases once. They are NOT good for in-depth exploration of any port.
Be prepared to face on-board charges such as for sodas and alcohol, higher than on land of course. However, since meals are included, it can be a very affordable way to travel.

    • They re all going to be basically the same, although the older ships aren t going to have all the "bells and whistles" that the newer ships do. Also, some of those are "behemoths" - HUGE ships that will have long lines for everything. But "best" is in the eye of the beholder - what I think is great, you may think is terrible. Go to your library and get a book about cruising, in which there will be descriptions of the different ships within the different lines. Or, use the Internet to do some research.
