Cruise ships have different lengths, the most common are from 3 days to 14, visiting various ports. These tours are on ships that look more like a floating city as they have shops, restaurants, casino, disco, bars, gym, mini golf, etc.. It is a plan for the whole family as there are many activities for children and adolescents.

There are several types of restaurants on the ship, some may come casually but others require more formal clothing, a good trick would be to look at the pictures of the restaurants of ships and see the way people are dressed, so you can carry appropriate clothing.

If you want to find good prices, the best time to visit is from January to late March and the months of November and December, these are good dates for those who do not like the fuss of the kids, because in the summer half of the passengers are children and young people, although most cruise ships have areas for adults and children zones.

To give you an idea, a 4-night cruise on the Royal Caribbean, sailing from Miami in December, 2010, visiting Key West, FL, Nassau (Bahamas), Cococay (an island owned by the cruise line) and returning Miami has a cost per person based on double occupancy, in inside cabin U.S. $ 203 but the same route and same duration in July would cost U.S. $ 356, this price includes meals, evening entertainment passes mouths, it does not include are the airfare, and the tours and transportation costs to ports coming, these are the responsibility of the passenger.

Please note that alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, use of the internet, casino expenses and some other things are not included in the price so you will not take surprises.

If you need to take a plane to get to the departure city, be sure to take a flight that allows sufficient time to reach the ship, if there is any delay in flights, with most cruises sail in the afternoon but boarding begins early.
